Clinical Evaluations
Another common requirement for a DUI charge is a Clinical Evaluation conducted by a state approved clinical evaluator. The State of Georgia requires that everyone who receives a DUI charge be evaluated for the possibility of substance abuse problems. These evaluations are simply interviews conducted by a licensed professional that look at your specific situation, your history, & what makes you who you are. These are typically by appointment only & last around an hour. Using guidelines set by the state, your evaluator makes recommendations that are to help you with the DUI process & possibly help you with problems areas in your life. However, not everyone who needs a Clinical Evaluation has a problem with alcohol & many do not receive follow-up treatment. Please do not confuse these evaluations with "substance abuse evaluations." Clinical evaluations are conducted by state trained licensed professionals that have the knowledge to help you with the DUI process & paperwork. The state also mandates the minimum charge for these evaluations to be at $110, although some other evaluators may charge more. Please contact us to make arrangements at (678) 807-9781.
